People, Places, & Things

I find that when I'm with certain people the topic of fashion never seems to avail.... It's called
people watching.. ( for lack of a better word).  By understanding, that yes I'm in the business of
fashion, sometimes I just want to chill out.  Have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and relax...I
could care less what someone is wearing!!  But then I realized that we all should be held accountable
for the people we are trying to impress the places that we are going and the things we want to
obtain.. Dont' get me wrong, I love to watch people and create from that standpoint, as I stated in my
last blog I'm inspired by the simple things in life....People, Places and Things...........

Inspiration

When I get inspired the flow of creativity moves me to another level.  It can be as simple as a walk on

the beach or observing that my children are growing up also just simply looking through the September issue of Vogue magazine.  The Fall Fashions are inspirational.  The beautiful coats, belted or not, detailed with onyx colored beading piped with Persian lamb.

Leather and suede, bulky sweaters, cowled or off the shoulder. Asymmetrical fitted tops and dresses are key items as well.  These are just a few things that inspired me for the moment... Of course shoes and   handbags are inspiring.  The boot is a hugh item and probably here to stay.  It can be a rough biker look
or soft short and sexy, tall and to the point of no return. When the seasons change the energy of inspiration
is in the air so my friends get inspired to do or feel something wonderful!!!!

What is Style?

Today's subject is about our version or my own particular version of what I believe style is... Now
you might say that it is about individual style or personality which brings about the choices we make when
we decide to wear something chosen for the day or evening..   I ask myself that question constantly!  I will
quote from one of our most innovative fashion journalist Elsa Klensch.." Style is a powerful thing.  Style
commands attention and respect, even when a woman is not beautiful...  Style is rooted in a woman knowing herself well enough to develop a consistent image and then having the courage to project that image"...  Food for thought!  The mistakes that are made while trying to pull together an outfit can be avoided by knowing thyself first...  Your hair, your body structure(shape), skin tone, flattering colors
etc...Knowing how you want to present yourself is key. Look inward...This is not a lesson on style but
advice which I've always given to my clients... I'm honest with them because, it is a reflection on me..Be
happy and confident.....Until next time...........

Just the beginning

I've created this blog to talk about fashion..The dos and don'ts. I will let you know what I feel is the right look or not and you can let me know if  I'm completely wrong.   It seems we in the fashion world are doing the same..
What is it that drives us to the point of insanity where fashion is concerned.. I personally observed
a woman today with yellow/orange/white hair... Yes, her outfit was somewhat cute and pulled together but
the hair to me and my friend of whom I was having lunch with, we were surprised.... I ask why was she screaming for more
attention!!!!  I only wish that I had taken a photo of this mess!  If you are already pulled together why would you for lack of a better word, screw it up!!!!!  Be totally confident and know that You are on Point!!!!!!
